Each option departs from your Arusha or Moshi hotel at dawn and returns by late afternoon. The Ngorongoro Crater option is the most popular - a half-day safari on the floor of the world's largest caldera with picnic lunch. Tarangire offers elephant herds and baobabs. Lake Manyara has tree-climbing lions and flamingos. Arusha National Park is a hidden gem with giraffes, colobus monkeys, and canoeing on Momella Lake. Materuni Waterfalls is a half-day hike through coffee farms to a 70m cascade. The Marangu cultural tour visits a local village and the Kilimanjaro foothills.
