7-Day Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route

TREK OVERVIEW

7-Day Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route

The complete Lemosho experience compressed into seven days: a dramatic western approach with strong acclimatization for fit trekkers.

The 7-day Lemosho Route covers the same rewarding terrain as the 8-day itinerary but moves a day faster across the Shira Plateau. It is the perfect compromise for trekkers who want the scenery and acclimatization of the western approach without the full eight days.

The route begins at Londorossi Gate, climbs through rainforest and heath to the Shira Plateau, then joins the southern circuit beneath the Lava Tower and Barranco Wall. The final ascent follows the standard Barafu route to Stella Point and Uhuru Peak.

Because the overall elevation gain is still spread over a full week, success rates remain very high. We recommend this option for active hikers with prior multi-day trekking experience.
