A vehicle designed around the camera, with a guide who knows light
A photography safari is a different kind of trip. The game drives start earlier and finish later. The vehicle is set up for shooting - beanbags, charging points, a swivel seat at the front, and a pop-top roof that opens on three sides. The guide has been briefed on what you want to come home with, and the route is built around the light, not the itinerary. We work with a small group of guides who are also serious photographers, and we can pair you with one who shoots the way you do - birding, big cats, landscapes, or all of the above. The lodges we use have charging stations in the rooms and a separate secure area for camera gear.
