Between July and October, more than a million wildebeest make the perilous Mara River crossing in the northern Serengeti - a wildlife spectacle so dramatic it has been called the Greatest Show on Earth. This safari puts you on the riverbank at the right time, in a mobile camp that follows the action, with off-road driving permits and a guide who knows the crossing points intimately.
The Mara River crossing is the most dramatic two minutes in wildlife. We will position you for it - and we will wait as long as it takes.

Welcome to Tanzania. You'll be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Welcome dinner and safari briefing.

A scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and down onto the Serengeti plains. Settle into Kati Kati Tented Camp.
Day 03Full Day in the Central Serengeti

Explore the Seronera area - one of the most predator-rich habitats in Africa. Track lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Day 04Fly to the Northern Serengeti
Fly to the Northern Serengeti
Fly north to Kogatende. Settle into Serengeti Mara Camp on the riverbank. Afternoon game drive along the Mara River.

Full day of crossing watching. Seek out herds massing on the banks, waiting for the mass crossings. Picnic lunches by the river.

Another day of crossing watching. Alternate between crossing points and the predator-rich grasslands.

Morning flight south, drive up to the Ngorongoro rim. Settle into Rhino Lodge.
Day 08Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha & Departure

Descend into the crater for a half-day safari. Picnic lunch by the hippo pool, then return to Arusha. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
