Day 01Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
Drive to Arusha National Park and the Momella Gate (1,500m). Forest trek to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m), with giraffes, buffalo, and colobus monkeys in the canopy.
Day 02Miriakamba to Saddle Hut
Miriakamba to Saddle Hut
Climb through the moorland to Saddle Hut (3,570m). Optional afternoon walk to Little Meru (3,820m) for further acclimatization.
Day 03Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Miriakamba Hut
Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Miriakamba Hut
Midnight start for the summit. Reach Socialist Peak (4,566m) at sunrise, with views of Kilimanjaro. Long descent to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m).
Day 04Miriakamba to Momella Gate and Safari Start
Miriakamba to Momella Gate and Safari Start
Descend to Momella Gate (1,500m), then a game drive through Arusha National Park. Transfer to Lake Manyara for an afternoon game drive.
Day 05Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha & Departure
Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha & Departure
A descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari. Picnic lunch by the hippo pool, then return to Arusha by early evening. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
