A morning guided walking tour of Stone Town, the old quarter of Zanzibar City. Wander the narrow alleys, visit the old slave market, the Sultan's Palace, and the House of Wonders. Lunch at a local restaurant, then a visit to a working spice farm where you will taste and smell cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, and nutmeg straight from the source.
Day 03Prison Island and Sunset Dhow
Prison Island and Sunset Dhow
A morning boat trip to Prison Island, home to a colony of giant Aldabra tortoises (some over 100 years old) and a historic quarantine station. Afternoon at leisure on the beach or by the pool. In the late afternoon, a sunset dhow cruise with drinks and snacks.
